Best Foot Forward

Specialist care workers visit people in their own homes to attend to their foot care needs, including Toe Nail cutting. This specialist team have been trained to understand the importance of foot health care and nail care. A foot care assessor will visit the person in their own home to discuss the person’s needs, free of charge. A foot care kit is provided free of charge at your first visit; regular appointments can then be booked. Please contact Sophie on 07414 260861 for more details.

Respite and Flexi Breaks…

A prescribed free service, available in the Southend Boroughs, provided to the informal carer, allowing them to take a break from their caring role.

If you require a service that is not listed above, do not hesitate to call, we can tailor your service to your needs.

Our services are provided to more than 700 adults and older people in South East Essex.

• We are one of the leading providers of homecare in South East Essex, and are approved and contracted providers to Essex County Council and Southend Borough Council.
• We work in collaboration with, South East Essex PCT, and Southend University Hospital NHS Trust.
• We provide services to people who are self funding
• We provide services to people who are in receipt of direct payments and people who are managing personal budgets through the Self Directed Support mechanism.

All care workers are trained to a level that will enable them to provide exceptional care services to the service users that they visit in their own homes. We provide first class on-going training to all staff members, who in turn feel supported, valued and are able to undertake their duties both competently and confidently.

Excellence in Dementia care

Carewatch provides a specialist dementia care service for people living in their own homes, and we are very aware that providing services to people with dementia requires our team to have an extensive knowledge of the condition. The dementia service is specifically planned in a person centred way to meet the individual needs of the person with dementia and their family and carers. The organisation employs Dementia Champions who provide support and guidance to both our Dementia Care Team in the community and also to the people who use our dementia services. These Dementia Champions have a wide experience of working with people with dementia and can help in providing lots of useful information and expert guidance.

Carewatch provides training for the Dementia Care Team with the help of our in house trainer who has been trained by the Alzheimers Society. This ensures that our staff are skilled in the care of people with dementia and understand their specific needs.
